Carpenter-joiner

CARPENTER-JOINER

Reporting to the Foreman and working closely with the teams on site, the candidate will be involved in large-scale construction projects, carrying out renovation, finishing and demolition tasks.

More specifically, the Carpenter-Joiner will : 

  • Study plans and calculate material requirements, prepare layouts, take measurements, cut, shape and assemble materials;
  • Assemble wall, floor, roof and wall structures; 
  • Install exterior siding;
  • Install exterior doors and windows, mouldings and hardware; 
  • Apply procedures for tracing, cutting and assembling wood parts;
  • Work with multiple tools such as: hammer, drill, circular saw, pneumatic nailer, etc.

  • Be an ambassador for the RIOUX brand and all its divisions; 
  • All other related tasks.


Your experience and skills include :

  • DEP in Carpentry/Joinery or relevant renovation/finishing experience;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Carpenter's card;
  • On-site training available;
  • Knowledge of the steps involved in building a house; 
  • Training and/or equivalent experience in carpentry/woodworking; 
  • Ability to work as part of a team; 
  • Experience working with pneumatic tools; 
  • Candidates must be physically fit; 
  • Good manual dexterity;
  • Be able to maintain a good work rhythm on a production line; 
  • Execute various stages of residential construction; 
  • Previous experience is required, but we are open to people with transferable skills such as: carpenter, joiner, construction, renovation.

Employment conditions :

Full-time work (40 hours per week), over 4 days.
Salary according to experience and skills.
